Château Minuty har tilldelats den högsta franska miljöcertifieringen – HVE nivå 3

Miljöcertifieringen HVE nivå 3 tilldelas endast vingårdar med hög biologisk mångfald som arbetar med ansvarsfulla metoder och utan bekämpningsmedel eller tillsatser genom hela produktionskedjan. Detta är något som varit självklart för Château Minuty’s vinmakare sedan tre generationer tillbaka i Côtes de Provence. Vi är stolta över att arbeta med en vinproducent som försäkrar såväl konsumenter som nästa generation att man gör de ansträngningar som krävs för att värna klimatet.

 

 

Château Minuty is pleased to announce the entire Estate’s recent High Environmental Value certification “Haute Valeur Envionnementale”

Under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture, High Environmental Value certification is a government level acknowledgment that recognizes winemaker’s honorable farming practices. 

Château Minuty is proud to have obtained this certification which, based on 3 topics, attests to its respectable viniculture methods

  • Biodiversity: by preserving areas untouched by any agricultural activity, Château Minuty promotes biodiversity in its vineyards. In a broader context, biodiversity is integrated into farm management strategies.
  • Phytosanitary strategy and fertilization: the Estate works to greatly limit inputs for a viticulture respectful of soil, water, air and the surroundings area. 
  • Water management that helps to preserve this precious resource. HVE certification is one of the best ways to develop sustainable production.

It is part of a global approach to “sound farming” that limits the use of synthetic products, promotes alternative practices and reduces, on a broader scale, the impact on the environment. This voluntary initiative is a continuation of the sustainable farming methods implemented for over three generations by Château Minuty’s winemakers. 

The steps leading to HVE certification: 

  • Level 1: Compliance with Essential Environmental Regulatory Practices 
  • Level 2: adopting good environmental practices according to a reference system comprised of 16 requirements 
  • Level 3 or HVE: the highest level of excellence given to farms with a high-level of biodiversity and a very low use of inputs. The HVE has noted that Château Minuty received level 3 certification with no hesitation. 

Château Minuty has chosen HVE certification in an effort to continually improve practices that reduce the impact of its activities on the environment. By promoting methods such as preserving biodiversity and conserving natural aspects on its land, Château Minuty meets its customer’s expectations regarding responsible practices whilst preserving its terroir and therefore the quality of its wines. 

Biodiversity on the Estate is concretely conveyed through fauna and flora. There are ponds, but also a wide variety of tree species. The presence of pheasants, partridges and rabbits is another good indicator. At la Bastide de Verez, Château Minuty’s latest acquisition, beehives have been hosted, which greatly favor the natural pollination of vines.
